The College of Education (Technical) Dass, a newly established institution dedicated to promoting excellence in technical, vocational, and science education, invites applications for the transfer of service from qualified and experienced staff in tertiary institutions within the state.
We are seeking professionals in the following fields:- Vocational and/or Technical Education, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Integrated Science, Mathematics, Physical and Health Education, Physics
This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about advancing technical and vocational education in Bauchi State.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Academic Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in relevant fields of Technical, Vocational, or Science Education.
2. Professional Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in technical, vocational, or science programs at tertiary institutions.
Alternatively, a minimum of ten (10) years of teaching experience in technical, vocational, or science programs at secondary/primary schools.
3. Curriculum and Accreditation Involvement
Evidence of active participation in curriculum development, resource inspections, or accreditation exercises.
4. Research and Publications
A proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Participation in National or International Conferences, Workshops, or Seminars relevant to education and skills development.
5. Leadership and Administrative Skills
Demonstrated experience in departmental or faculty leadership roles.
Proven ability to mentor junior staff and students in technical or vocational disciplines.
6. Personal Attributes
Strong commitment to the vision and mission of the College.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
7. Other Requirements
No pending disciplinary actions in the applicant’s current institution.
Willingness to adapt to the College’s policies and mandates.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Interested staff are required to submit the following documents to the Registrar of the College of Education (Technical) Dass and notify their current institution:
1. A formal letter of interest addressed to the Registrar, College of Education (Technical) Dass.
2. A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing academic qualifications, professional experience, research outputs, and administrative roles.
3. Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
4. Evidence of participation in accreditation exercises or similar activities.
5. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s Head of Department or Institution, emphasizing suitability for technical and/or science education.
6. A performance evaluation report from the current institution (if applicable).
All applications must be forwarded to the Registrar on or before 10th January 2025.
